Saskatoon and Area City Nature Challenge: April 26-29, 2024 Be the Voice for Nature Find it Snap it Share it What will you discover? The City Nature Challenge encourages everyone, from seasoned naturalists to casual observers, to join forces in documenting the incredible biodiversity within Saskatoon and its surrounding areas. From April 26 to April 29 residents are invited to explore their neighborhoods, parks, and green spaces, capturing photos and observations of plants, animals, insects, fungi, and more.Participants can download the user-friendly iNaturalist app to record their findings, contributing to three exciting award categories: most observations, most species found, and engaging the most people. The information you record helps scientists to document species at risk, engage in early detection and rapid response for invasive species, identify changes in habitat ranges, and note any increases or decreases in population. This event is hosted by the Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas, and sponsored by SaskTel, SaskPower and the Saskatoon Nature Society.http://friendsareas.ca/https://6192db9370581.site123.me/
